FAQ

Retail + Wholesale

What is your approach to retail design projects? How do you determine the appropriate design for my space?

We start by really getting to know you and your brand—from your values and style to what you need the space to do for your teams. Then we work with you to shape the big ideas and early design concepts that lay the foundation for bringing it all to life.

What is the fee structure?

Our fees vary depending on the project, depending on the scope and level of requests. We tailor everything to fit each client and their goals.

How frequently will we communicate throughout the project?

We stay in close touch throughout the project—we see our clients as true partners. To keep things moving smoothly with so many players involved, we usually act as the main point of contact between all vendors and teams on a project.

Do you have a minimum project size requirement? What kind of capabilities do you have for larger projects?

We take on projects of all sizes—from 100sf to over 20,000sf. And trust us, smaller doesn’t always mean easier. Our team thrives on efficiency, collaboration and experience, so when it comes to larger projects or a nationwide roll-out, getting organized from the start helps set the tone for a smooth, successful project. No matter how big or small the project is, we stay hands-on every step of the way.

At what point in the planning phase should we contact you?

It’s best to loop us in early—even when you’re still scouting or finalizing a location. That way, we can help assess the space, give input on what will work best for your design goals and budget, and start planning the scope and timeline with you so you don’t have to scramble and rush later.

Can you assist with selecting fixtures, furnishings, and materials?

Yes, we can—including any custom millwork.

Food + Beverage

How do you ensure the design reflects the brand identity of the restaurant, café, or bar?

We love diving into inspiration and concept research, from what your competitors are doing to listening to your personal backstory and how that influenced your journey. It all helps us shape a design that reflects your brand and the kind of experience you want your customers to have, and we develop it together with you.

Commercial Office Design

How does the office design process typically work?

We typically meet with the owner and/or operations manager to go over what the space needs and work together on the initial layout. From there, we blend functional needs with the overall design concept to bring it all together.

How do you design office spaces that reflect the company culture and brand identity? How do you balance aesthetics with functionality in an office setting?

Oftentimes, function comes first before design if at all in office spaces. But we also look for creative inspiration by digging into your brand’s story and observing the company culture. That way, we can insert touches of hospitality or retail-like designs or aesthetics to make the office feel unique and welcoming.

Can you assist with furniture selection, lighting, and acoustics?

Yes, we can—including any custom millwork.

At what stage of the office renovation or build-out should we bring you into the project?

It’s best to loop us in early—even when you’re still scouting or finalizing a location. That way, we can help assess the space, give input on what will work best for your design goals and budget, and start planning the scope and timeline with you so you don’t have to scramble and rush later.
